The Governance & Nominating Committee (GNC)

In accordance with International ACAC bylaws, the Governance & Nominating Committee shall review governing documents and related policies and recommend amendments. The committee shall review eligibility for officers and Representatives to the Executive Board and nominate a slate of nominees for Executive Board offices.

The 2024-2025 Governance & Nominating Committee will include at least five appointed positions to ensure representation of the organization regionally and across member groups. The GNC appointment term begins upon appointment and ends June 30, 2025.

The 2024-2025 Governance & Nominating Committee is chaired by the immediate active Past President of International ACAC, Michelle Chow-Liu. For more information about volunteering for the committee, contact Michelle at PT_Michelle@internationalacac.org.

Applications are due by September 18, 2024.

Applications will be reviewed by a team of volunteers from each of International ACAC's Standing Committees, and recommended to the International ACAC Executive Board for approval. Confidentiality and Conflicts of Interest

All members of the Governance & Nominating Committee will be required to sign the International ACAC Confidentiality Agreement and Conflict of Interest Statement. All discussions held as part of the GNC are to be kept confidential until official information is shared by the association. All GNC members are expected to make decisions in the best interest of International ACAC and remain neutral and objective when reviewing the slate of candidates for the Executive Board. While having a conflict of interest is not automatically disqualifying, it may require an individual to recuse themselves from certain discussions or votes.

By checking this box, you confirm that you understand the importance of confidentiality and reporting any conflicts of interest honestly and completely should you be selected for the Governance & Nominating Committee.
