2025 Membership Application - Individual

Welcome to International ACAC! We are very pleased to have you apply for membership as an Individual. To be eligible in this category, you must be a paid employee of the business listed in your application.  

To apply for membership, please complete the following form. The International ACAC Membership Committee will then review your application. If you meet the requirements for membership, your application will be approved within three weeks and an invoice for your member dues will be emailed to you. Once your member dues are paid, you will receive notification via email and gain access to all member benefits.

*PLEASE NOTE: New Individual members must supply a reference from a current International ACAC member. Applications will not be considered complete without a reference, and will not be processed until received.

  • Individual Membership 
    • Independent Educational Consultants (IEC_
      • Independent Educational Consultants (IEC) applying for this category must provide literature or website links with relevant information and may be asked to submit a description of the college counseling services they provide. 
      • Prospective members applying for Individual/IEC membership must demonstrate two years of experience as an IEC. 
      • Two years of combined experience as a secondary school counselor/post-secondary school counselor and/or IEC if a current member is transitioning to an IEC role. 
      • Persons registered as voting members of NACAC or members of CIS in the Independent Educational Consultants category are eligible as Individual Members of International ACAC, Small Organizations (IEC), and For-Profit Organizations (IEC), depending on the size of the company. 
    • Small For-Profit Organizations 
      • Members in this category should work independently or in a small company with three or fewer employees (including part-time, full-time, and freelance). 
    • Individual Associate
      • An Individual Associate is an education professional working in an independent, consultancy/short-term contractual role supporting organizations and/or secondary and post-secondary institutions in recommended ethical practices related to international education. 
      • Previous membership with International ACAC and relevant professional membership of five years or more is required to be considered in this membership category.
    • Independent Members
      • This subcategory is designed for International ACAC members that are currently between jobs. Members are eligible for this category for up to one year.
    • Retired 
      • Members in this category should have previously been engaged in the international admissions industry for a minimum of 10 years. 
      • Members in this category should not consistently be employed in the international admissions industry, either part-time or full-time. 
      • Members in this category may take part in periodic consulting or freelance work within the industry, though any term of such income should be limited to no more than a year. 
    • Student 
      • Prospective members or current members transitioning to Graduate School membership should be currently enrolled or recently admitted to a graduate program with the goal of engaging in work related to International ACAC work post-graduation. 
      • Graduate School membership is approved for the duration of the graduate program, and the length of the program should be provided at the time of application or membership change.
