Contracted days: 205 (based on the school calendar)
Qualifications:
Master's degree in School Guidance and Counseling (preferred);
OR, Master's Degree with valid school counseling and/or teaching licence;
OR, Bachelor's Degree with a valid school counseling and/or teaching licence and three (3) years of relevant experience.
AND
School counseling licence and/or teaching licence
College and Admissions Counseling Certification
Membership of a professional counselor organization, such as the International Association of College Admissions Counselors (IACAC)

KOREA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, JEJU CAMPUS seeks a student-focused High School College Counselor (with College Counseling Certification) who will actively support our students and help guide them through the College Application Process.
The High School College Counselor is an important support service for students as they navigate the college application process, providing guidance for students on their academic plans in relation to their future academic goals.
The college application process conforms with the “best fit” model and all College Counselors are required to understand and support this process. Our High School utilizes the MAIALearning college and career readiness platform, and it is an expectation that College Counselors are also experienced and familiar with this platform. Support for all facets of the college admissions process will include building positive relationships with students, parents and teachers, as well as monitoring and assisting students with their applications, supporting teachers in writing recommendations, and, the drafting of counselor evaluations to support the students’ application.
Working closely with parents, advisors, boarding specialists, grade-level team leaders, subject teachers, and the leadership team, the High School College Counselor will report directly to the High School Principal.
