The Assistant Director, International Evaluation serves as an international specialist and is a member of the international evaluation team. This position holds some responsibility for supporting both first years and transfer applicants in the admissions process with particular attention to supporting the admissions, recruitment, and evaluation for international applicants. The incumbent will have a sound working knowledge of education systems of the world; the ability to decipher records written in a foreign language; and the ability to assess a student’s educational background, making transfer credit judgments when necessary and then providing them with appropriate advising. The international team takes intentional steps to sensitize and enlighten all of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions staff and partners, as well as campus colleagues to the special interests and needs of the international population.
